Ocean

A sight of beauty,

A mass beyond compare,

This glorious, glistening thing for all to share.

Her majestic head bows with no despair.

Such adventure awaits,

She nurtures and she cares.

If you listen she will sing the lullaby of sailor’s dreams.

As the tide comes in,

Her grace draws near,

It beckons those who dare to hear.

Though her waves are full of splendor,

Her sight amazes all,

She’ll crash around, She’ll play you hard

Don’t think you will defeat her.

Her strength rises up with such a force,

But in an instant she is done.

Her water flattens once again.

Her voice returns about,

She’ll whisper things of flattery.

In awe you’ll stand there just to see,

How beautiful she is indeed.

A complicated girl named sea.

It's coming to a halt,

This dying world before my eyes

The disgraced remains of prideful lives,

Lay in pieces on the ground

No warning does it give,

The soundless breaking of our lives

While buildings crash, they crumble down,

The wails they fill my ears

Huge cities now in shreds

Without an alibi to reconfirm

The oceans thrash, they moan about,

The wind it picks up speed

A single spark thrown to the ground,

The world is soon to see

For every deed of envy, every act of selfish lust,

Every warped and wicked motive that every twisted human sought

Each one adding a spark (an ember) to the ever growing flame

It’s arms wrap tightly wound,

Alas, it has engulfed

Warily the fire burns,

A dead man’s lullaby

The desolate remains of the ones’ who dared to dream,

Carried by the hazy breeze across the graying land

My lungs now made of ashes,

Buried in the deep, will be a part of all I was and all that is to be
